    AD536ASD/883B Product Overview

    The AD536ASD/883B is a complete monolithic true RMS-to-DC converter from the AD536A Series, designed for the electronic measurement of complex AC and DC input waveforms with high accuracy and wide bandwidth. The 14-pin CERDIP military-grade variant features laser-trimmed accuracy and a unique auxiliary dB output pin with a 60 dB dynamic range.

    Rated for a supply range of 5 V to 36 V (or ±3 V to ±18 V) with a 450 kHz bandwidth for signals above 100 mV, it outputs a DC voltage equivalent to the true RMS value of the input with 0.5% total maximum error (AD536AS grade). The -3 dB bandwidth is 450 kHz (2 MHz for signals >1 V) and supply current is 1.2 mA quiescent. Mass is approximately 2.714 g and operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C (military grade). The input circuitry features full overload protection well beyond supply levels, and the output is short-circuit protected.
