    ANALOG DEVICES ADM2483BRWZ-REEL Product Overview

    The ADM2483BRWZ-REEL is an integrated, galvanically isolated RS-485 transceiver from Analog Devices, designed for bidirectional data communication on balanced, multipoint bus transmission lines . It complies with ANSI EIA/TIA-485-A and ISO 8482:1987(E) standards. The device integrates a 3-channel isolator, a three-state differential line driver, and a differential input receiver into a single package using ADI's proprietary iCoupler technology .

    Rated for operation with either a 5V or 3V supply on the logic side and a 5V supply on the bus side, the ADM2483 supports data rates up to 500kbps with slew-rate-limited driver outputs to reduce reflections on improperly terminated lines . The receiver inputs feature a true fail-safe function, ensuring a logic-high output when inputs are open or shorted . The device provides 2500Vrms isolation for safety and system reliability . Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C .
