    AKR200C420L Key Selling Points

    True RMS Measurement – Accurate for Any Waveform

    The AKR200C420L features a built-in True RMS mathematical algorithm that accurately integrates complex, distorted AC waveforms. It delivers true current readings for non-linear loads such as variable frequency drives (VFDs) and SCR phase-angle controls. For sinusoidal waves, RMS values are sufficient; but for distorted waveforms, True RMS is the only way to obtain accurate measurements.

    4-20 mA Loop-Powered – Direct Connection to Industrial Control Systems

    The transmitter provides a standard 4-20 mA DC current output. With loop powering (24 V DC), it outputs the measured signal without requiring an external auxiliary power supply. It can be directly connected to PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, or data loggers, integrating seamlessly with various industrial automation equipment.

    Jumper-Selectable Ranges – One Device Covers Multiple Current Ratings

    Using internal jumpers, you can switch between three ranges: 100 A, 150 A, and 200 A. A single device handles different measurement needs, simplifying selection and reducing inventory management.

    High Isolation Voltage – Safety Assured

    Complete electrical isolation between the primary and secondary circuits. The isolation test voltage is as high as 5 kV RMS / 50 Hz / 1 min, ensuring safety between the high-voltage power circuit and the low-voltage control circuit, protecting both operators and equipment.

    Panel Mount – Compact Design Saves Space

    Panel mount design (DIN rail mount available upon request). Dimensions: only 88.90 mm × 55.40 mm × 23.70 mm. Its compact structure allows easy integration inside control cabinets.

    The AKR200C420L accurately measures the non-sinusoidal distorted current output by variable frequency drives, reflecting the real-time operating status of motors and loads. It helps engineers detect abnormal conditions early and provides data support for predictive maintenance.

    SCR (Thyristor) Load Measurement

    SCR power controllers output phase-angle controlled or burst-firing signals – highly distorted waveforms rich in harmonics. Only True RMS measurement can obtain the true load current. The AKR200C420L accurately measures actual current values for both phase-angle and zero-crossing firing modes.
