    Bosch BME280 Integrated Environmental Sensor

     

    Bosch BME280 Product Overview

    The BME280 is a combined digital humidity, pressure, and temperature sensor from Bosch Sensortec, designed for mobile and battery-driven devices where size and low power consumption are critical constraints. Housed in an extremely compact 8-pin LGA package with a metal lid, it measures just 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm x 0.93 mm and integrates high-linearity, high-accuracy sensors for three environmental parameters in a single unit.

    The sensor operates over a pressure range of 300 to 1100 hPa, humidity range of 0 to 100 % RH, and temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C. It supports both I²C (up to 3.4 MHz) and SPI (3- and 4-wire, up to 10 MHz) digital interfaces. Supply voltage for the sensor (VDD) is 1.71 V to 3.6 V, with interface voltage (VDDIO) supporting 1.2 V to 3.6 V. Typical current consumption is 3.6 µA at 1 Hz data refresh rate, dropping to 0.1 µA in sleep mode.
