An onboard configurable digital low-pass filter allows users to adjust the filtering frequency according to application needs, eliminating noise and ensuring clean signal transmission.
The modular single-aperture package supports PCB and through-hole mounting. Compact and space-saving, with low power consumption (maximum supply current only 40mA–160mA) – it runs cool without adding extra load to the system.
The CAB500-C/SP5 delivers stable output across an ultra-wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, whether in the bitter cold of northern winters or the scorching heat of southern summers.
In BMS applications, the CAB500-C/SP5 can monitor battery charge/discharge currents in real time. With accurate current measurement, the BMS can precisely determine state of charge (SoC), charge/discharge status, and battery health. The sensor integrates an overcurrent detection mechanism – when current exceeds a safe threshold, it sends an alarm signal via the CAN bus within 1ms, triggering the battery thermal management system or disconnecting the high-voltage circuit, preventing overheating or fire risks.
In 800V fast-charging scenarios, the CAB500-C/SP5 precisely monitors charging current changes. Working with the BMS, it dynamically adjusts charging power, improving charging efficiency by 12% while limiting battery temperature rise to within 5°C – significantly extending battery cycle life.
