    In today’s fast-evolving world of power electronics, your design needs more than just a sensor – it needs a high-accuracy, fast-response, and compact current measurement core. The CASR6-NP from LEM, a global leader in sensing technology, is exactly that. As a key member of the CASR-NP series, this closed-loop flux-gate current sensor is engineered for the demanding requirements of modern industrial drives and inverters.

    Extreme Accuracy Down to the Milliampere

    Using advanced closed-loop flux-gate technology, the CASR6-NP delivers outstanding ±0.8% accuracy and ±0.1% linearity. Whether measuring DC, AC or pulsed currents, the sensor captures every minute variation with confidence. Very low offset and gain drifts ensure consistent measurements across a wide temperature range.

    Blazing Fast Response to Changing Currents

    A 0.3-microsecond (300 ns) response time lets the CASR6-NP easily handle high-frequency and fast-changing currents. Combined with an ultra-wide bandwidth from DC to 300 kHz (200 kHz @ ±1 dB), it faithfully reproduces everything from PWM waveforms in inverters to transient currents in power supplies.

    Safe, Isolated, and Reliable

    With 1000 Vrms isolation voltage, the sensor creates a robust safety barrier between your low-voltage control circuit and the high-voltage main circuit. The insulated plastic case meets UL 94-V0 flammability rating, adding multiple layers of protection for reliable system operation.

    Wide Range, One Compact Package

    Operates from a single 4.75 V ~ 5.25 V supply, easily fitting into standard 5 V systems. Bidirectional current measurement allows both forward and reverse currents to be measured with one sensor. Rated for 6 A RMS and capable of measuring up to 20 A (≈3× rated value), it covers everything from small currents in precision instruments to larger loads in industrial equipment.
