The CASR50-NP/SP3 from LEM (Switzerland) is a high-performance closed-loop fluxgate current sensor that delivers exceptional accuracy, ultra-fast response, and a compact PCB-mountable design – providing a trustworthy current measurement solution for your power electronic systems.

     

    CASR50-NP/SP3 Core Technology: Closed-Loop Fluxgate Principle

    The CASR50-NP/SP3 utilizes advanced closed-loop (compensated) fluxgate technology to achieve high-precision electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents. Compared with open-loop sensors, the closed-loop architecture offers lower temperature drift, superior linearity, and enhanced immunity to external interference. Galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits ensures measurement safety and system stability.

    The SP3 suffix denotes a specific pin-out and packaging configuration, accommodating diverse PCB layout requirements.

    A 0.3 µs response time enables precise capture of every fast-changing current transient, providing real-time, reliable data for high-frequency applications like servo drives and inverters.

    Bidirectional Measurement, One Sensor for Multiple Uses

    Supporting ±150 A bidirectional current detection, this single sensor covers motor forward/reverse operation, battery charge/discharge cycles, and bidirectional power flow in photovoltaic systems.

    Strong Noise Immunity and Reliability

    Exceptional dv/dt immunity ensures stable performance even in harsh electromagnetic environments typical of switch-mode power supplies and variable-frequency drives. The 1000 Vrms isolation voltage and UL 94-V0 flame-retardant housing provide dual protection for system safety.

    Compact Design for Easy Integration

    Designed for PCB through-hole mounting with a low profile and compatibility with the LTSR series pin-out layout. Single 5 V supply operation simplifies the peripheral circuit design – no need for dual supplies.
