    CTSR 0.3-TP/SP15 Product Overview

    The CTSR 0.3-TP/SP15 belongs to LEM’s CTSR series, specifically designed for accurate measurement of small DC, AC, and pulsed currents. Its rated nominal current is 300 mA, with a maximum measuring range up to 500 mA. Using advanced closed-loop fluxgate technology, the sensor provides full galvanic isolation between the primary (high-power) side and secondary (electronic) side, ensuring robust protection for your safety-critical systems.


    CTSR 0.3-TP/SP15 Core Technology: Why Closed-Loop Fluxgate?

    Unlike conventional Hall-effect sensors, the CTSR 0.3-TP/SP15 uses closed-loop fluxgate technology, which fundamentally eliminates the accuracy drift that plagues small-current measurements. The sensor outputs an instantaneous voltage signal (2.5 V ± 1.2 V) proportional to the primary current. It achieves an accuracy of 1.9% at +25°C and maintains extremely low offset drift over the entire operating temperature range, guaranteeing stable and accurate operation under all conditions.

    CTSR 0.3-TP/SP15 More Than Just Measurement: Self-Test and Degaussing

    Beyond accurate current measurement, the CTSR 0.3-TP/SP15 integrates powerful self-diagnostic functions. In safety-critical applications, the health of the sensor itself is vital – a failed sensor could leave leakage faults undetected. Through its dedicated reference pin (REF pin), users can pull the REF level low to trigger self-test mode, verifying that the internal ASIC and the entire output chain are functioning correctly. After releasing the pin, the sensor automatically performs a degauss cycle to eliminate residual magnetism in the core, ensuring the sensor is in optimal condition for normal measurement after every power-up or reset. This unique feature, rarely found in competing products, makes your system design more complete and reliable.
