In the fields of power electronics and industrial automation, current measurement accuracy directly determines system efficiency and operational safety. The DHR300C10, a standout model in LEM’s DHR-C10 series, is a precision current transducer designed for high-current AC and DC electronic measurement. With outstanding features including a 0-10 V true RMS voltage output, a rated measurement range of up to 300 A, ±1% accuracy, a wide frequency response from DC to 6 kHz, and primary-to-secondary isolation up to 5 kV, it has become an indispensable sensing tool in industrial automation, renewable energy, smart grids, and power electronics systems.
Based on the Hall effect open-loop principle, the DHR300C10 has a rated measurement current of 300 A (RMS) and can measure peak currents up to 1000 A. The measurement range covers 0 A to 300 A AC/DC. With ±1% linearity and high-precision calibration, it delivers extremely stable data feedback even in strong interference environments such as motor drives and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
Its core advantage lies in the built-in true RMS signal conditioning circuit. For non-sinusoidal, distorted, or noisy waveforms, traditional average measurement methods introduce significant errors. The true RMS output of the DHR300C10 accurately calculates the true energy content of the current, providing the most precise input power measurement for applications such as switching power supplies, electronic ballasts, and variable-frequency drives. The output is a standard industrial 0-10 V analog voltage, directly connectable to PLCs, secondary instruments, data acquisition systems, or host computers – no additional signal conditioning required.
In high-voltage industrial environments, safety comes first. The DHR300C10 features complete electrical isolation between the primary circuit (power side) and the secondary circuit (measurement side), with an isolation test voltage of 5 kVrms, effectively protecting operators and downstream equipment.
Its operating temperature range spans -40℃ to +70℃, and storage temperature extends from -40℃ to +85℃, easily handling harsh environments from extreme cold to intense heat. The housing is made of high-flame-retardant insulating plastic compliant with UL94-V0, and the device carries CE certification. EMC compliance is verified to IEC61326, and safety compliance to IEC61010-1, meeting both EU and international safety standards. Additionally, LEM is ISO9001 certified and offers a 5-year quality guarantee, backed by more than 25 years of proven reliability in railway and industrial applications. The power supply accepts a wide DC input voltage of 20 to 50 V with a typical current consumption of only 30 mA, compatible with most industrial power configurations.
Ease of deployment and integration is critical to project efficiency. The DHR300C10 features a 32 mm large through-hole design that allows installation without disconnecting the existing cable, providing true non-contact, non-intrusive measurement. External dimensions are 90×70×34 mm, weight only 260 g, and panel mounting is supported. The compact design fits easily into control cabinets or distribution panels. Response time is less than 150 ms, and the frequency bandwidth covers DC to 6 kHz (20 Hz to 6 kHz) – capturing both static DC and high-frequency ripple currents in real time.
The DHR300C10 is widely used in the following fields:
Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) load monitoring – realtime monitoring of motor current waveforms to assess motor and load operating conditions, enabling fault prediction and preventive maintenance.
SCR-controlled load measurement – accurate measurement of non-sinusoidal currents from phase-angle or burst-fired SCR controllers, much faster than traditional temperature-based methods.
Switching power supplies & electronic ballasts – true RMS technology accurately measures input power, providing precise data for power efficiency evaluation and thermal design.
Renewable energy – widely deployed in solar inverters, charging stations, battery management systems, and energy storage systems.
Industrial automation & smart manufacturing – current monitoring and protection for industrial robots, CNC machines, elevators, and cranes.
Railway & mass transit – instantaneous current detection for main traction and auxiliary converters, ensuring safe railway operation.
Accurate & reliable – ±1% precision + true RMS technology gives trustworthy measurement results
Absolutely safe – 5 kV electrical isolation + UL94-V0 flameretardant housing + CE/UL certification – worry-free operation
Wide operating temperature – -40℃ to +70℃, adapts to diverse harsh environments
Easy to install – 32 mm large through-hole + 0-10 V standard output, no complicated wiring
Brand guarantee – Original Swiss LEM Group, 5-year warranty, proven by 25+ years of industry use
