    FHS AH 600 Product Overview

    The FHS AH 600 is a coreless, open-loop Hall effect current sensor from LEM's FHS AH series, designed for non-contact measurement of DC, AC, pulsed, and mixed currents. It is a surface-mount device (SMD) that leverages an Integrated Magnetic Concentrator (IMC) to achieve high accuracy and low noise in a compact SOIC-8 package.

    This sensor eliminates the need for an external magnetic core, offering a versatile and compact solution ideal for measuring current flow through a conductor like a PCB track. With a bandwidth of 160 kHz and a fast response time of ≤ 2 µs, it is well-suited for applications requiring rapid and precise current sensing.

    FHS AH 600 Key Advantages

    The FHS AH 600 offers a compact, cost-effective solution for isolated current measurement. Its coreless design and integrated magnetic concentrator (IMC) optimize sensitivity and eliminate the need for an external magnetic core, saving PCB space and reducing system cost.

    The sensor provides excellent linearity of <0.5% full scale and low sensitivity error of <1% across its entire -40°C to +125°C operating temperature range, ensuring accurate measurements in demanding environments.

    With a high bandwidth of 160 kHz and a fast response time of ≤ 2 µs, it can accurately capture fast-changing current waveforms. The non-contact measurement principle eliminates power loss in the primary circuit and provides high dielectric insulation between the measured conductor and the sensor electronics. An internal reference voltage is also provided for ratiometric measurements.

    The FHS AH 600 includes overcurrent detection (OCD) features with both internal (OCDI) and external (OCDE) threshold setting capabilities, providing flexible system protection.
