    LEM HAH3DR 800-S07/SP4 Product Overview

    The HAH3DR 800-S07/SP4 is an open-loop Hall effect current transducer from LEM's HAH3DR S07 series, designed for the electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits. This transducer is a tri-phase sensor specifically engineered for high-power, low-voltage automotive applications, such as traction inverters in xEVs (HEV, EV). The S07/SP4 variant is designed to offer high integration, fitting within an inverter module such as the Infineon HybridPACK™ Drive, with a panel/PCB mounting style and press-fit terminals for connection to the gate driver board.

    Rated for 800 A nominal with a ±800 A measuring range, it outputs a ratiometric voltage of 2.5 V ± 2 V (instantaneous) with 2.5% accuracy. Sensitivity is 2.5 mV/A. Response time is 6 µs and bandwidth is DC to 40 kHz. Supply voltage is +5 V (4.75 to 5.25 V) with a maximum supply current of 60 mA. Operating temperature is -40°C to +125°C. The sensor is designed for unidirectional polarization. Insulation test voltage is 3.06 kV with creepage distance of 6.4 mm and clearance of 4.8 mm.

    The HAH3DR 800-S07/SP4 employs open-loop Hall effect technology with a proprietary ASIC, delivering accurate measurement for motor control applications. The ±800 A range provides ample headroom for high-power automotive systems, while the 6 µs response time and 40 kHz bandwidth capture fast-changing motor drive and switching waveforms. The panel/PCB-mount design with press-fit terminals offers a perfect fit for Infineon HybridPACK™ Drive IGBT modules, simplifying integration and reducing assembly time. The fully ratiometric output allows the sensor to share the same power supply as the ADC, preventing errors due to reference mismatch, and the unipolar +5 V supply simplifies system power design. The sensor offers excellent linearity, very low thermal drift, and is rugged against high dV/dt levels required for motor control applications.
