    LEM HAH3DR 900-S00/SP4 Product Overview

    The HAH3DR 900-S00/SP4 is an open-loop Hall effect current transducer from LEM's HAH3DR S00 series, designed for the electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits. This transducer is part of a tri-phase sensor family specifically engineered for high-power, low-voltage automotive applications, such as traction inverters in xEVs. The S00/SP4 variant is designed for installation on thick busbars with a through-hole connection, allowing it to be mounted directly on the gate driver board.

    Rated for 900 A nominal with a ±900 A measuring range, it outputs a ratiometric voltage with ±3% accuracy and ±1% linearity. Sensitivity is 2.22 mV/A. Response time is 6 µs and bandwidth is DC to 40 kHz. Supply voltage is +5 V (4.75 to 5.25 V) with a maximum supply current of 60 mA. Operating temperature is -40°C to +125°C. The sensor is designed for unidirectional polarization.

    LEM HAH3DR 900-S00/SP4 Key Advantages

    The HAH3DR 900-S00/SP4 employs open-loop Hall effect technology with a proprietary ASIC, delivering ±3% accuracy and ±1% linearity while maintaining very low thermal offset and sensitivity drift over the full temperature range. The ±900 A range provides accurate measurement for high-power automotive systems, while the 6 µs response time and 40 kHz bandwidth capture fast-changing motor drive and switching waveforms. The through-hole panel-mount design enables installation on thick busbars and connection to the gate driver board. The fully ratiometric output allows the sensor to share the same power supply as the ADC, preventing errors due to reference mismatch, and the unipolar +5 V supply simplifies system power design. The sensor offers high global accuracy, excellent linearity, and is rugged against high dV/dt levels required for motor control applications.
