    LEM HAH3DR 900-S03/SP4 Product Overview

    The HAH3DR 900-S03/SP4 is an open-loop Hall effect current transducer from LEM's HAH3DR S03 series, designed for the electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits. This transducer is part of a tri-phase sensor family specifically engineered for demanding high-power automotive applications, such as motor control and traction inverters. The SP4 variant features a panel-mount design, providing robust installation for high-voltage automotive systems.

    Rated for 900 A nominal with a ±900 A measuring range, it outputs a fully ratiometric voltage of 0 to 5 V (instantaneous) with 2% accuracy. Response time is 6 µs and bandwidth is DC to 40 kHz. Supply voltage is a unipolar +5 V (external DC unipolar), compatible with modern automotive electronics. Operating temperature is -40°C to +125°C. The sensor is designed for unidirectional polarization.

    The HAH3DR 900-S03/SP4 employs open-loop Hall effect technology, delivering 2% accuracy while maintaining very low thermal offset and sensitivity drift over the full -40°C to +125°C temperature range. The ±900 A range provides ample headroom for high-power measurement, while the 6 µs response time and 40 kHz bandwidth capture fast-changing motor drive and switching waveforms with high fidelity. The panel-mount design offers a robust solution suitable for space-constrained or high-vibration environments. The fully ratiometric output ensures accurate measurement unaffected by small variations in the +5 V supply, and the unipolar supply simplifies system power design. The sensor offers very good linearity, very low thermal offset and sensitivity drift, and high frequency bandwidth.
