The HAIS 50-P is an industrial-grade open-loop Hall-effect current sensor from LEM (Switzerland). It is specifically designed for accurate measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with a nominal current rating of 50 A. Safe isolation you can rely on

Based on the Hall effect, the HAIS 50-P provides 2500 V isolation test voltage between primary and secondary circuits, effectively protecting downstream control electronics and personnel. No matter how complex the environment, system safety is guaranteed.

High accuracy, low error

At +25°C, the sensor achieves ±1 % accuracy at rated current and ±0.5 % linearity. Fixed offset and fixed sensitivity eliminate calibration efforts – every measurement is precise and trustworthy.

Wide range, fast dynamic response

Nominal current 50 A, peak measurement range up to ±150 A – covering everything from low-precision small currents to large transient currents. The wide frequency bandwidth (DC to 50 kHz) accurately captures waveforms from DC to high-frequency pulses. With an ultra-fast 5 µs response time, it easily handles rapidly changing current transients.

Wide operating temperature for harsh environments

Operating temperature range –40 °C to +85 °C. Performance remains consistent from severe cold to high heat. The insulated plastic case is UL 94-V0 rated, meeting strict safety standards.

Low power, high immunity, easy integration

Single +5 V supply, maximum supply current only 19 mA – extremely low power consumption. Excellent immunity to external electromagnetic interference ensures stable measurements even in strong EMI environments such as drives and switching power supplies. The compact package (33 mm × 29 mm × 14 mm) saves valuable PCB space. A dedicated Uref input/output allows connection of an external reference voltage (1.5 V to 2.8 V), enabling direct interface to DSPs or A/D converters while eliminating reference voltage drift.
