    HAX2000-S Product Overview

    The HAX2000-S is a high-performance open-loop Hall effect current sensor from LEM (Switzerland). With a rated primary current of 2000A and a maximum measuring range extending to ±5500A, it is designed for electronic measurement of AC, DC, and pulsed currents. This compact sensor provides an instantaneous voltage output of ±4V and covers a wide current range from 500A to 2500A, making it ideal for industrial automation, renewable energy installations, and electric drive systems.


    HAX2000-S Key Advantages

    High Insulation Voltage – Safe and Reliable

    The HAX2000-S achieves galvanic isolation between the primary high-voltage circuit and the secondary electronic circuit, with an insulation voltage rating of 5000V~. This ensures safe and stable measurement even in high-voltage environments.

    Wide Dynamic Range – Handles Overloads with Ease

    Although the nominal primary current is 2000A, the maximum measuring range reaches ±5500A, which is approximately 2.75 times the rated value. This provides ample margin for transient overloads and current surges.

    5μs Ultra-Fast Response – Captures Transient Changes

    With a response time of just 5 microseconds, the sensor supports current slew rates greater than 50A/μs and covers a frequency bandwidth from DC to 25kHz in practice.

    Compact Size – Easy to Install

    The modular design saves valuable panel space, and the open-loop Hall technology eliminates the need for a magnetic core air gap, further reducing both volume and weight.

    High Immunity to Interference – Suitable for Harsh Environments

    Housed in a UL94-V0 rated insulating plastic case, the HAX2000-S offers excellent external noise immunity. It operates over a temperature range of -25℃ to 85℃, meeting the demands of tough industrial applications.

    Low Insertion Loss – Energy Efficient and Cost Saving

    The open-loop Hall effect design results in very low insertion loss, enabling high-precision measurement while reducing system energy losses – helping businesses lower operational costs.
