    LEM HLSR 10-SM HLSR-SM Series Open Loop Hall Effect Current Transducer

     

    LEM HLSR 10-SM Product Overview

    The HLSR 10-SM is an open-loop Hall effect current transducer from LEM's HLSR-SM Series, designed for the electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic separation between the primary and secondary circuits. This compact surface-mount PCB transducer is optimized for unipolar +5 V supply operation and features an ultra-low profile of only 12 mm with a footprint of just 3.87 cm².

    Rated for 10 A nominal with a measuring range of ±25 A (2.5 × IPN), it outputs a ratiometric analog voltage of 2.5 ± 0.8 V at nominal current with ±1% accuracy and ±0.5% linearity. Sensitivity is 80 mV/A. Response time is 2.5 µs and frequency bandwidth is 400 kHz. Supply voltage range is 4.5 V to 5.5 V with a maximum current consumption of 25 mA. Primary conductor resistance is only 0.21 mΩ. Mass is 5.5 g and operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +105°C. Insulation features >8 mm creepage and clearance distances with CTI 600 and insulation test voltage of 4.3 kV RMS. The device features bidirectional polarization and surface mount PCB mounting. The product is Active and carries a 5-year LEM warranty.

    LEM HLSR 10-SM Key Advantages

    The HLSR 10-SM employs open-loop Hall effect technology, delivering ±1% accuracy and ±0.5% linearity while providing reinforced galvanic isolation with >8 mm creepage and clearance. The ±25 A measuring range provides significant headroom for overload conditions (2.5 × IPN). The 400 kHz bandwidth and 2.5 µs response time capture dynamic current signals with high fidelity.

    Key features include access to voltage reference (overdrivable Uref), providing system-level flexibility for reference voltage synchronization. The single +5 V supply simplifies integration into low-voltage digital systems. The compact surface-mount design offers low power consumption (25 mA maximum), high immunity to external interference, low offset and gain drift, fixed offset and gain, and no insertion losses. It is factory calibrated and complies with IEC 61800-5-1 and UL 508 standards.
