    LEM HOB 130-P/SP1 Product Overview

    The HOB 130-P/SP1 is an open-loop Hall effect current transducer from LEM's HOB-P/SP1 Series, designed for the electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits. This through-hole PCB-mount transducer is optimized for single +5 V supply operation and is ideally suited to wide bandgap (WBG) power electronics applications requiring enhanced immunity to the dv/dt issues common with SiC power modules .

    Rated for 130 A nominal with a measuring range of ±250 A, it outputs a ratiometric analog voltage of 2.5 ± 2 V at nominal current . Accuracy is ±0.75% with ±0.45% linearity . Sensitivity is 16 mV/A . Response time is 200 ns and frequency bandwidth is 1 MHz . Supply voltage range is 4.6 V to 5.5 V with a maximum current consumption of 26 mA . Mass is 30 g and operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +105°C . Reinforced insulation features >11 mm creepage and clearance distances . The integrated primary conductor features very low resistance of 60 nΩ .

    The HOB 130-P/SP1 employs open-loop Hall effect technology, delivering ±0.75% accuracy and ±0.45% linearity while providing reinforced galvanic isolation with >11 mm creepage and clearance . A key differentiator is the 1 MHz bandwidth and 200 ns response time, significantly faster than typical 3 µs alternatives, making it perfect for high-frequency SiC and GaN power electronics . The device offers lower noise and better dv/dt immunity compared to other open-loop sensors .

    The single +5 V supply simplifies integration into low-voltage digital systems. The integrated primary conductor with 60 nΩ resistance minimizes power losses . The compact through-hole PCB design offers low power consumption (26 mA maximum), high immunity to external interference, and no insertion losses. The device is factory calibrated and complies with IEC 61010-1, IEC 61800, and UL 508 standards .
