The HTFS 600-P is an open-loop Hall-effect current transducer developed by LEM (Switzerland). It is specifically designed for measuring DC, AC, and pulse currents with a rated current of up to 600 A and a maximum measurable range of ±900 A. It is the ideal choice for current monitoring and control in low-voltage applications.
As a world-leading manufacturer of electrical measurement transducers, LEM is renowned for its exceptional quality and reliability. The HTFS 600-P embodies decades of LEM’s expertise in current measurement technology, combining advanced open-loop Hall-effect principles with an ASIC chip integration solution. It delivers outstanding measurement accuracy and excellent cost-effectiveness. Whether in harsh industrial environments or precision electronic equipment, the HTFS 600-P provides stable, accurate, and reliable current measurement data.
Ultra-High Accuracy – Reliable Measurements
The HTFS 600-P achieves a measurement accuracy of ≤ ±1% over the full range and linearity of ±0.5%, ensuring your system receives the most authentic and reliable current feedback. Whether it is slight current fluctuations or transient current surges, the transducer faithfully reproduces them with excellent linearity, laying a solid foundation for precise system control.
Ultra-Wide Range – Broad Application
Rated at 600 A with a maximum measuring range up to ±900 A, the HTFS 600-P easily handles a variety of medium-to-high current measurement tasks. The HTFS series offers six models from 200 A to 800 A, all sharing the same footprint. This allows you to unify your PCB layout and upgrade without changing the board design.
Extreme Temperature Range – No Environmental Limits
Operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C. Whether in freezing northern climates or hot southern environments, outdoors or inside sealed hot cabinets, the HTFS 600-P remains consistently reliable.
Fast Response – Capturing Transient Changes
With a response time of just 3.5 µs and a frequency response from DC to 240 kHz (-3 dB), the HTFS 600-P accurately captures transient current changes in high-speed switching power supplies and variable frequency drives – no critical data is missed.
Safe Isolation – Enhanced System Reliability
Using the Hall-effect principle, the transducer provides galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits, with a test voltage rating of 2.5 kV RMS / 50 Hz / 1 min, ensuring full system safety.
Low Power Consumption – Green and Efficient
Single +5 V supply with a maximum power consumption of only 25 mA, minimizing energy use while maintaining high performance.
Flexible Integration – Simplified Design
The innovative reference voltage access pins (Uref IN/OUT) can be directly connected to the reference voltage pins of an ADC or DSP, effectively eliminating measurement errors caused by reference voltage drift over temperature. Two package options are available: standard (mechanical fixing) and SP2 version (additional 4 pins for soldering), meeting different PCB mounting requirements.
International Approvals – Trusted Quality
The insulating plastic housing is UL 94-V0 certified, complies with EN50178 industrial standards and CE marking requirements – safe, reliable, and quality assured.

With its outstanding performance and wide applicability, the HTFS 600-P has been proven in numerous industries. Typical applications include:
Motor Drives & Control – Current monitoring and feedback control in forklift drives, AC variable frequency drives, and DC motor drives.
Power Management Systems – Current monitoring in uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), optimizing efficiency and reliability.
Renewable Energy – Current monitoring in solar PV inverters and wind power converters, promoting efficient green energy utilization.
Battery-Powered Equipment – Precise charge/discharge current monitoring in battery management systems for electric vehicles, golf carts, wheelchairs, etc.
Welding Equipment – Current monitoring in resistance welders and other high-current welding equipment to ensure weld quality.
Industrial Automation – Current monitoring and control in various industrial machinery and equipment.
Among many current transducer solutions, the HTFS 600-P stands out with these unique values:
Unified Design – Simplified Inventory Management
The HTFS series offers six models from 200 A to 800 A, all with identical package dimensions and pin assignments. A single PCB design accommodates the entire range, dramatically reducing design iteration risks and inventory management costs.
Reference Voltage Access Pins – Eliminate Temperature Drift Errors
This unique design allows the transducer’s internal precision reference voltage to be used as the reference for an ADC, or to accept an external reference from a DSP. It completely eliminates measurement errors caused by reference voltage drift over temperature – a valuable tool for power electronics engineers.
Flexible Mounting – Strong Adaptability
The 22 mm primary conductor aperture easily accommodates large-diameter conductors. The transducer is reliably fixed to the PCB using four M3 nuts, and secondary connection pins are soldered to the board – simple installation and high reliability.
