    LEM HX 10-NP HX Series Open Loop Hall Effect Current Transducer

     

    LEM HX 10-NP Product Overview

    The HX 10-NP is an open-loop Hall effect current transducer from LEM's HX Series, designed for the electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary circuit and the secondary circuit . This compact PCB-mount transducer features a multi-range design via PCB pattern layout, allowing the nominal current to be set to 10 A (series connection) or 20 A (parallel connection) . The device requires minimal board space and weighs only 8 g .

    Rated for selectable nominal currents of 10 A (measuring range ±30 A) or 20 A (measuring range ±60 A), it outputs an analog voltage of ±4 V with ±1% accuracy and ±0.1% linearity . Response time is 3 µs and frequency bandwidth is DC to 50 kHz . Supply voltage is ±15 V (±5%) with current consumption of <15 mA . Operating temperature ranges from -25°C to +85°C . Insulation test voltage is 3000 V RMS at 50 Hz for 1 minute . The insulating plastic case is recognized according to UL 94-V0 .     LEM HX 10-NP Key Advantages

    The HX 10-NP employs open-loop Hall effect technology, delivering ±1% accuracy and ±0.1% linearity while providing galvanic isolation with a 3000 V insulation test voltage . The multi-range NP design allows a single transducer to cover 10 A or 20 A nominal currents by changing primary connections (6+6 turns for 10 A, 3+3 turns for 20 A) , providing application flexibility and simplifying inventory management . The 50 kHz bandwidth and 3 µs response time capture dynamic current signals in motor drive and power conversion applications . The compact PCB-mount design offers low power consumption (<15 mA), easy mounting with automatic handling systems, high immunity to external interference, low insertion losses, and small size .
