    LEM HY 50-P/SP1 HY Series Open Loop Hall Effect Current Transducer

     

    LEM HY 50-P/SP1 Product Overview

    The HY 50-P/SP1 is an open-loop Hall effect current transducer from LEM's HY Series, designed for the electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits. This PCB-mount transducer is the SP1 variant with a single +5 V power supply and a voltage output of 2.5 ±0.5 V at nominal current, making it suitable for low-voltage systems.

    Rated for 50 A nominal with a measuring range of ±150 A (3 × IPN), it outputs an analog voltage of 2.5 ±0.5 V with <±2% accuracy and <±1% linearity. Response time is <5 µs with a di/dt accurately followed >50 A/µs, and frequency bandwidth is DC to 50 kHz. Supply voltage is +5 V (±5%) with a current consumption of ±10 mA. Mass is <14 g and operating temperature ranges from -10°C to +80°C. Insulation test voltage is 2500 V RMS at 50 Hz for 1 minute with an insulation resistance >1000 MΩ at 500 V DC. The primary conductor aperture is 1.6 × 3.5 mm for the 50 A model. Output internal resistance is 100 Ω and minimum load resistance is 1 kΩ. Electrical offset voltage at 25°C is <+2 V ±25 mV with thermal drift of ±1.5 mV/K typical and ±3 mV/K maximum. The device can withstand overload current up to 50 × IPN for 1 ms.

    LEM HY 50-P/SP1 Key Advantages
