    LEM IN 500-S IN Series Closed Loop Current Transducer

     

    LEM IN 500-S Product Overview

    The IN 500-S is a closed-loop Fluxgate current transducer from LEM's IN Series, designed for the ultra-high precision measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits. This panel-mount transducer features a large aperture for flexible primary conductor installation and delivers exceptional accuracy for demanding calibration, medical, and industrial applications.

    Rated for 500 A nominal with a measuring range of ±1000 A, it outputs a secondary current of 200 mA at nominal. The device provides outstanding 0.005% accuracy (50 ppm), very low offset drift, and excellent linearity. The response time is optimized for precise current measurement. Supply voltage range is ±15 V. The output interface is via a 9-pin D-Sub male connector. The design offers no insertion losses and high immunity to external interference.

    LEM IN 500-S Key Advantages

    The IN 500-S employs closed-loop Fluxgate technology, delivering 0.005% accuracy while providing galvanic isolation between primary and secondary circuits. The Fluxgate principle offers extremely low offset drift, very low output noise, high immunity to external interference, and no insertion losses. The ±1000 A measuring range accommodates significant overload conditions, making it suitable for a wide variety of high-current measurement scenarios. The large aperture enables non-intrusive installation of primary conductors without disconnecting existing cables.
