±200 A | DC ~ 500 kHz | Accuracy 0.0084% | Closed-Loop Fluxgate Technology
The IT200-S ULTRASTAB is an ultra-high precision closed-loop fluxgate current transducer from LEM (Switzerland), part of the IT series. It is designed for high-accuracy measurement of DC, AC and pulsed currents. With outstanding performance and long-term stability, this transducer has become a trusted choice for engineers in industrial testing, medical equipment, precision power supplies, metrology and calibration.
Rated current: 200 A DC | Secondary output: 200 mA | Accuracy: 0.0084% | Bandwidth: DC ~ 500 kHz
Unlike conventional Hall-effect transducers, the IT200-S uses LEM's advanced closed-loop fluxgate IT technology, achieving ultra-high accuracy through a zeroflux detection principle. The transducer does not use a Hall device. A zero-flux detector combined with a dual-magnetic-core structure continuously compensates the flux generated by the primary current, so that the secondary compensation current accurately reflects the primary current value. This technology fundamentally eliminates hysteresis error and zero drift, delivering a level of measurement accuracy that traditional Hall sensors cannot match.
Ultra-High Accuracy, Unrivalled Linearity
The IT200-S achieves an overall accuracy of 0.0084% and a linearity error of ≤3 ppm. That means at a full-scale 200 A measurement, the maximum error is less than 17 mA – performance comparable to top-grade metrology instruments. For applications demanding stringent accuracy, such as power analysis, energy efficiency evaluation and PV inverter testing, the IT200-S provides reliable data.
Very Low Temperature Drift, Stable Across the Whole Temperature Range
Temperature is one of the main factors affecting measurement accuracy. The IT200-S has an offset drift coefficient of only 2 ppm/K, maintaining excellent stability over the entire operating temperature range (+10 °C to +50 °C). Whether the ambient temperature changes, every milliampere of output remains precise and dependable.
Wide Bandwidth, DC to 500 kHz Full Coverage
The bandwidth of the IT200-S is DC ~ 500 kHz (–3 dB). Whether it is a steady-state DC current, power-frequency AC current, complex waveforms with rich harmonics, or pulsed impulse currents, the transducer faithfully reproduces the signal without losing critical information.
Excellent Immunity to Interference
Builtin electrostatic shielding between primary and secondary gives the transducer strong immunity to external electric and magnetic fields. In harsh EMI environments such as variable frequency drives and high-power equipment, the IT200-S still provides clean and stable output.
No Insertion Loss, Does Not Disturb the Measured Circuit
The closed-loop fluxgate design introduces no additional insertion loss or reflected noise into the primary circuit. This is particularly important for precision circuit and sensitive system measurements.
High Resolution and Low Noise Output
The output signal of the IT200-S has extremely low noise, and the transducer does not reflect noise back into the primary conductor. Combined with its high resolution, it captures small current variations and excels in weak-signal detection applications.
