    LEM IT 205-S Product Overview

    The IT 205-S is a closed-loop Fluxgate current transducer from LEM's ULTRASTAB IT Series, designed for the ultra-high precision measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits. This panel-mount transducer delivers exceptional accuracy for demanding laboratory, calibration, and medical applications.

    Rated for 200 A nominal with a DC measuring range of ±200 A and an AC measuring range of ±283 A (RMS), it provides outstanding 0.01% accuracy. Linearity error is ±0.0011% with a response time of 1 µs. Frequency bandwidth is 1 MHz. Supply voltage range is ±14.25 V to ±15.75 V. Current consumption is 78 mA (maximum). Mass is 350 g and operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C. The primary through-hole accommodates conductors up to 26 mm diameter. The output interface is via a 9-pin D-Sub male connector, and the optically insulated status output with LED indicator confirms normal operation.

    The IT 205-S employs closed-loop Fluxgate technology with an electrostatic shield between primary and secondary circuits, delivering 0.01% accuracy and ±0.0011% linearity while providing galvanic isolation. The Fluxgate principle offers extremely low temperature drift and very low output noise, ensuring exceptional measurement stability over the wide -40°C to +85°C operating temperature range. The 1 MHz bandwidth and 1 µs response time capture dynamic current signals with high fidelity.

    A key feature is the optically insulated status output (photocoupler type) and LED indicator confirming normal operation. The design offers high immunity to external fields, no insertion losses, and low noise feedback to the primary conductor. The transducer is suitable for ultra-high precision current measurement with galvanic separation between primary and secondary circuits.
