The IT400-S ULTRASTAB is built for exactly that: based on closed-loop fluxgate technology, it pushes current measurement precision and stability to new heights.
The IT400-S ULTRASTAB uses LEM’s patented closed-loop IT-type fluxgate technology, eliminating traditional Hall elements and achieving ultra-high precision through a “zero-flux detection” mechanism. At the rated 400A current, overall accuracy reaches 0.0044% – meaning that when measuring 400A, the error is only about 0.0176A, almost negligible.
Linearity error over the full range is better than 3ppm, electrical offset current is within 40ppm, and monthly offset stability is only 1ppm – accuracy does not drift over long-term use. As engineers often say: “A good sensor never lies” – the IT400-S makes every current reading trustworthy.
The closed-loop fluxgate design gives the IT400-S excellent temperature stability. Over the 10°C to 50°C operating range, the temperature coefficient is as low as 1ppm/K – for every 1°C change in ambient temperature, measurement drift is less than one part per million. Initial offset is between 40-80ppm, with offset drift as low as 0.5-2.5ppm/K.
Even with a wide temperature range (storage temperature -40°C to +85°C), the IT400-S maintains ±0.5% accuracy, with a temperature drift coefficient 42% lower than the industry average. Extremely low DC offset and outstanding low temperature drift ensure consistent measurement accuracy in industrial sites, laboratories, medical equipment and other environments.
Wide bandwidth: ±1dB bandwidth up to 150kHz, -3dB bandwidth extends to 500kHz – capable of tracking fast current changes with di/dt = 80A/μs.
Fast response: Response time <250μs, delay time tD90 ≤1μs – captures transient current changes at “lightning speed”.
High overload capability: Single pulse (100ms) withstand current up to ±2000A – remains stable under transient high current shocks without damage.
Insulation safety: Primary-to-secondary AC test voltage 5.4kV (50/60Hz, 1min); impulse withstand voltage 9.9kV; creepage distance and clearance both 11mm. Complies with EN IEC 61010-2-030 and other international standards.
Low noise design: Primary-referred equivalent noise current ≤0.05ppm (0-10Hz band), only 8ppm at 50kHz – avoids interference with the original circuit.
