    LEM ITC 2000-S/SP2 Product Overview

    The ITC 2000-S/SP2 is a closed-loop fluxgate current transducer from LEM's ITC series, designed for the electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits . The ITC series is specifically engineered for rail-traction applications, achieving Class 0.5R measurement accuracy according to EN 50463 . The S/SP2 variant features a split construction with the measurement head in a separate case and the measurement circuitry remotely mounted in a metal enclosure, facilitating installation in confined spaces such as train roof spaces .

    Rated for 2000 A nominal with a 3000 A measuring range, it outputs 800 mA current signal with 0.05% accuracy and ±0.01% linearity . Response time is 0.1 µs and bandwidth is 27 kHz . Supply voltage is ±24 V. Mass is 5 kg and operating temperature is -40°C to +85°C . Insulation test voltage is 14 kV RMS with a 63 mm diameter aperture . The measuring head is rated IP67 and the electronics module IP20 .

The 3000 A range provides transient safety margin, while the 0.1 µs response time captures fast switching transients. The 63 mm aperture accommodates large conductors and the split construction with 1 m cable enables flexible installation in space-constrained applications . The 14 kV insulation and 30 kV impulse withstand ensure safety in high-voltage environments . The test winding allows easy verification of operation with no primary current flowing . The low current consumption (45-70 mA) reduces losses and eliminates the need for large heatsinks . The sensor meets EN 50155, EN 50124-1, and EN 50463 standards for railway equipment .
