    LEM LA 205-S/SP33 Product Overview

    The LA 205-S/SP33 is a closed-loop Hall effect current transducer from LEM's LA205 series, designed for the electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits. This panel-mount sensor is a special version specifically engineered for railway and traction applications . It features a 22.7 x 17.4 mm aperture for the primary conductor, a shielded cable GKW 3 x 0.5 mm² output for enhanced noise immunity, and a potted construction for protection against harsh environments . The insulating plastic case is recognized according to UL 94-V0 .

    Rated for 300 A nominal with a ±600 A measuring range, it outputs a secondary current of 150 mA (instantaneous) with 0.6% overall accuracy and <0.15% linearity . The conversion ratio is 1:2000 . Reaction time is <500 ns and response time is <1 µs, with a bandwidth of DC to 100 kHz . Supply voltage is ±15 V (±5%) . Mass is 190 g and operating temperature is -40°C to +70°C . Insulation test voltage is 6 kV with a creepage distance of 32.8 mm and clearance of 30.5 mm, complying with EN 50155 standards for railway equipment .

The shielded cable output ensures reliable signal transmission in electrically noisy traction environments, and the potted construction provides protection against harsh railway conditions .
