    LEM LA 305-S/SP6 Product Overview

    The LA 305-S/SP6 is a closed-loop Hall effect current transducer from LEM's LA305 series, designed for the electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits . This panel-mount sensor is specifically engineered for traction applications, featuring a 25.5 x 25.5 mm aperture for the primary conductor and a potted construction for enhanced durability in demanding railway environments . The SP6 variant connects to the secondary circuit via M4 threaded studs, ensuring robust and reliable connections in vibration-prone installations .

    Rated for 300 A nominal with a ±800 A measuring range, it outputs an instantaneous secondary current of 75 mA with 0.8% accuracy and ±1% linearity . The turns ratio is 1:4000 . Response time is 500 ns and bandwidth is DC to 100 kHz . Supply voltage range is ±15 V to ±24 V . Operating temperature is -25°C to +85°C . The device conforms to EN 50155 standards for railway equipment .
