    LEM LAS 50-TP/SP1 Product Overview

    The LAS 50-TP/SP1 is a current transducer using Eta-technology from LEM's LAS series, designed for the electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits . This compact PCB-mount sensor features an integrated primary conductor and a unipolar +5 V supply, combining the advantages of open-loop and closed-loop transducers . The SP1 variant provides a floating internal reference voltage for ratiometric output, simplifying A/D converter interfacing .

    Rated for 50 A nominal with a ±150 A measuring range, it outputs a ratiometric voltage of 2.5 V ± 0.625 V with 1% accuracy and <0.7% linearity . Reaction time is <200 ns and response time is <500 ns, with a bandwidth of DC to 100 kHz . Supply voltage is +5 V (±5%) with typical current consumption of 18 mA . Mass is 20 g and operating temperature is -40°C to +85°C . Insulation test voltage is 5 kV . The isolated plastic case is recognized according to UL 94-V0 .

    The LAS 50-TP/SP1 employs Eta-technology, delivering 1% accuracy and <0.7% linearity while combining the positive properties of open-loop and closed-loop current transducers . The ±150 A range provides ample headroom for measuring nominal currents up to 50 A with transient overcurrent capability (up to 3× IPN), while the <500 ns response time and 100 kHz bandwidth capture fast-changing switching waveforms with high fidelity . The PCB-mount design with integrated primary conductor simplifies board-level integration, and the unipolar +5 V supply eliminates the need for dual supplies . The reference access pin provides flexible signal conditioning, and the 5 kV insulation with UL 94-V0 rated housing ensures robust safety isolation .
