    LEM LESR 6-NP/SP1 Product Overview

    The LESR 6-NP/SP1 is a closed-loop Hall effect current transducer from LEM's LESR series, designed for the electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits . This PCB-mount sensor offers a unipolar +5 V supply and a voltage output, simplifying integration into modern electronic systems . The device achieves fluxgate-level performance without the added cost, utilizing a custom ASIC with advanced offset cancellation . The SP1 variant features two integrated primary conductors for differential measurement with 1 turn and is 100% footprint compatible with the previous CASR series .

    Rated for 6 A nominal with a ±20 A measuring range, it outputs a ratiometric voltage of 2.5 V ± 0.625 V (instantaneous) with 0.7% accuracy at +25°C and ±0.1% linearity . Sensitivity is 104.2 mV/A . Response time is 0.4 µs and bandwidth is DC to 300 kHz . Supply voltage is +5 V (4.75 to 5.25 V) . Operating temperature is -40°C to +105°C . Insulation test voltage is 4.3 kV with a creepage and clearance distance of 7.55 mm . The device exhibits a very low offset drift of 14 ppm/°C .

    The LESR 6-NP/SP1 employs closed-loop Hall effect technology with a proprietary ASIC, delivering 0.7% accuracy and ±0.1% linearity while maintaining very low offset drift of 14 ppm/°C . The ±20 A range provides ample headroom for measuring nominal currents up to 6 A with transient overcurrent capability, while the 0.4 µs response time and 300 kHz bandwidth capture fast-changing switching and pulse waveforms with high fidelity . The PCB-mount design with integrated primary conductors simplifies board-level integration, and the reference pin with Ref IN and Ref OUT modes offers flexible signal conditioning . The unipolar +5 V supply simplifies power design, and the 4.3 kV insulation with 7.55 mm creepage and clearance ensures robust safety isolation . The device is 100% footprint compatible with the previous CASR series .
