
The LF 2005-S/SP13 employs advanced closed-loop Hall effect technology to measure DC, AC and pulsed currents with high precision. Its rated primary current is 2000 ARMS, and the maximum measurable range extends to 3500 A. The sensor provides galvanic isolation between the high-power primary circuit and the secondary electronics. It is widely used in AC variable speed drives, DC motor drives, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), switch-mode power supplies and welding equipment.
At 25 °C, the accuracy is ±0.3 %; typical linearity error is below 0.1 %. Thanks to the inherent advantages of closed-loop Hall technology, the sensor maintains excellent linearity and low temperature drift over the full temperature range. Performance remains stable across a wide operating temperature range from -40 °C to +85 °C, ensuring reliable measurement even in extreme conditions.
Rated primary current: 2000 A; measuring range up to ±3500 A. The sensor can accurately detect DC, AC and pulsed currents. Whether running continuously at rated current or handling sudden overloads, the LF 2005-S/SP13 provides sufficient safety margin to protect your system.
Step response time (90 %) < 1 μs – it can accurately track transient current changes with di/dt exceeding 50 A/μs. The frequency bandwidth covers DC to 100 kHz. For applications such as welding equipment or high-frequency switching power supplies that require real-time tracking of fast high-current changes, this sensor delivers microsecond response to provide the control system with accurate feedback.
The sensor features a UL 94-V0 flame-retardant insulated housing. Galvanic isolation between primary and secondary circuits is excellent, with an AC insulation test voltage of 6 kV, fully compliant with EN 50178:1997 – maximising system safety.
