    LEM LPSR 15-NP Product Overview

    The LPSR 15-NP is a closed-loop Hall effect current transducer from LEM's LPSR series, designed for electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits. It delivers performance at the level of fluxgate technology without the added cost, featuring very low offset drift (6 ppm/°C) and high accuracy across a wide temperature range, making it suitable for industrial drives, power supplies, renewable energy, and welding applications.

    The sensor supports multiple primary turns (1 to 5 turns) via PCB layout, allowing flexible range adaptation without changing the sensor. This model is rated for 15 A nominal current with a measuring range of ±51 A, outputting a voltage signal (2.5V ± 0.625V) with 0.45% accuracy.

    The LPSR series includes reference pin access, primary integrated conductors, and an overcurrent detection output. It is housed in a UL 94-V0 flame-retardant case and operates on a single +5V supply over a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. It offers direct replacement compatibility with the LTSR series.

    LEM LPSR 15-NP Core Advantages

    The LPSR 15-NP delivers closed-loop Hall effect performance that rivals fluxgate technology at a cost-effective price point, with low offset drift of 6 ppm/°C ensuring stable measurements across the wide -40°C to +105°C operating temperature range. The flexible primary turns configuration (1 to 5 turns) allows the same sensor to cover multiple current ranges (15A, 7.5A, 5A, 3.75A, or 3A) without changing the sensor or redesigning the PCB.

    The single +5V supply and ratiometric voltage output simplify power system design and integrate easily with standard digital and analog electronics platforms. The 400 ns fast response time and 300 kHz bandwidth capture fast current transients and high-frequency components essential for protection and control applications.

    The compact PCB mount design with integrated primary conductors enables easy soldering and secure connections. The LPSR series offers a reference pin for external reference input and includes an overcurrent detection output for enhanced system integration.

    The LPSR series is designed for industrial and power electronics applications including AC variable speed drives and servo motor drives, static converters for DC motor drives, battery supplied applications, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), switched mode power supplies (SMPS), power supplies for welding applications, and solar inverters and renewable energy systems.
