    LEM LPSR 6-NP Product Overview

    The LPSR 6-NP is a closed-loop Hall effect current transducer from LEM's LPSR Series, designed for the electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary circuit and the secondary circuit . This compact PCB-mount transducer features integrated primary conductors and is tailored for small-current measurement with integrated protection functionality . It delivers performance approaching fluxgate technology without the added cost .

    Rated for 6 A nominal with a measuring range of ±20 A, it outputs a ratiometric voltage signal of 2.5 ± 0.625 V with 0.45% accuracy . The sensitivity is 104.2 mV/A  with ±0.1% linearity . Response time is 0.4 µs and frequency bandwidth is 300 kHz . Supply voltage range is 4.75 V to 5.25 V DC . Operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +105°C . Insulation test voltage is 4.3 kV RMS at 50 Hz for 1 minute . The 9.5 mm creepage and clearance distance provides enhanced insulation for safety .

    LEM LPSR 6-NP Key Advantages

    The LPSR 6-NP employs closed-loop Hall effect technology with LEM's proprietary ASIC, delivering 0.45% accuracy and ±0.1% linearity while providing galvanic isolation between primary and secondary circuits . The ±20 A measuring range provides ample headroom for overload conditions, while the 0.4 µs response time and 300 kHz bandwidth capture dynamic current signals with high fidelity.

    A key differentiator of the LPSR Series is its overcurrent detection output on a separate pin, allowing direct monitoring of abnormal current conditions at the system level . The reference voltage access pins (VREF IN & VREF OUT) enable easy connection to external reference voltage sources . The 4-pin primary footprint allows 4 different primary connection configurations, enabling measurement of 2 A or 3 A currents with higher resolution (using 1/3 or 1/2 of the rated current) . The extended -40°C to +105°C operating temperature range ensures reliable performance in harsh industrial environments . The 9.5 mm creepage and clearance distance with 4 primary pins provides higher insulation for safety compliance .
