The LT108-S7/SP11 is a high-precision closed-loop Hall effect current transducer from LEM, the global leader in current measurement technology with applications across industrial automation, new energy, and rail transportation. Designed for demanding industrial current sensing applications, this transducer uses closed-loop (compensated) Hall technology to accurately measure DC, AC, and pulsed currents. The rated primary current is 100A, with a maximum measuring range of ±150A. Galvanic isolation between primary and secondary circuits is provided (3.52kVrms), ensuring system safety.
Closed-Loop Hall Technology – Accuracy & Stability
The LT108-S7/SP11 employs closed-loop Hall effect technology with a compensation coil that creates dynamic negative feedback, actively canceling the primary magnetic field. This significantly improves measurement accuracy and linearity while suppressing temperature drift. Compared to conventional open-loop sensors, the closedloop architecture offers inherent advantages in precision, response speed, and thermal stability – ideal for applications requiring precise current waveform tracking.
1μs Ultra-Fast Response – Capture Transients
With a response time <1μs and bandwidth up to 100kHz, this transducer accurately captures transient current waveforms generated by power switching devices such as IGBTs and MOSFETs. In dynamic load situations where traditional transformers suffer from detection lag, the LT108-S7/SP11 delivers real-time, accurate current tracking.
100A Rated / 150A Overload Capability
Rated primary current of 100A and maximum measuring range of ±150A meet most industrial current detection needs. Strong overload capability (up to 3× rated instantaneous) provides ample safety margin for the system.
3.52kV Isolation – Safe and Reliable
Galvanic isolation of 3.52kVrms between primary and secondary circuits, plus a UL94-V0 rated insulating case, effectively prevents high-voltage breakdown and leakage, protecting both operators and downstream electronics.
Wide Operating Temperature – Harsh Environments
Operating temperature range from -40℃ to +85℃ (or up to +125℃ depending on version). Whether in frigid northern environments or hot southern workshops, the transducer maintains stable, reliable performance.

Industrial Automation & Motor Drives
In servo motor control systems, variable frequency drives, and welding robots, the LT108-S7/SP11 monitors motor current in real time, helping the system identify bearing wear or winding anomalies. One automotive parts manufacturer reduced line failure rates by 43% and increased overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) to 91.6% after deploying these sensors.
Renewable Energy & Photovoltaics
In solar inverters, the LT108-S7/SP11 optimizes MPPT tracking accuracy, improving overall power generation efficiency. In a smart microgrid project, a network of 200 such transducers increased system dispatch response speed by 40%, saving approximately 180,000 kWh of energy loss annually.
Electric Vehicles & Charging Piles
Used in on-board chargers (OBC) and EV charging stations, this transducer monitors charging current in real time, improving charging efficiency and protecting battery packs from overcurrent damage. One charging pile manufacturer adopted the LT108-S7/SP11 for DC leakage detection, reducing fault location time to 0.3 seconds – a 4× improvement over industry standards. A drone manufacturer integrated the sensor to increase battery management system accuracy to 99.2%, extending flight endurance by 25 minutes per charge.
Power Supplies & UPS
In switching power supplies and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), the wide bandwidth (100kHz) and fast response allow precise capture of output current variations, providing reliable overcurrent protection and closed-loop control.
Metallurgy & Heavy Industry
In harsh conditions such as high-temperature rolling mills, this transducer maintains long-term stable operation thanks to its excellent temperature drift control and wide temperature range. It is widely used for high DC current measurement in aluminum smelting, chlor-alkali chemical plants, and other heavy industries.
