In industrial automation and power electronics, the accuracy and real-time performance of current measurement directly determine the reliability and safety of system control. As the core component of current monitoring, the performance of Hall-effect sensors is critical. However, you may be struggling with issues such as accuracy drift, insufficient anti-interference capability, and overload risks in current measurement, or even facing production accidents caused by the performance deficiencies of monitoring equipment.
The LT2005-S/SP19 is a high-precision closed-loop Hall-effect current sensor designed specifically to solve these problems.
The LT2005-S/SP19 uses closed-loop magnetic balance Hall-effect technology (i.e., compensated Hall current sensor), with core technology provided by the globally renowned industrial measurement expert LEM (Switzerland), and is widely used as a key sensor module in ABB’s industrial automation field.
This technology is not ordinary open-loop measurement. Closed-loop Hall-effect technology actively compensates for magnetic flux, effectively eliminating errors caused by temperature changes, non-linearity, and magnetic core saturation in traditional Hall elements. It brings you extremely low temperature drift, excellent linearity, very fast response speed, and strong resistance to external interference. Based on this core technology, the LT2005-S/SP19 can accurately measure DC, AC, and pulse currents, with electrical isolation between the primary and secondary circuits, effectively ensuring the electrical safety of the system.
High Accuracy: Typical accuracy across the full temperature range is ±0.3% to ±0.8%, providing you with extremely precise current feedback – a solid foundation for precision current control and protection.
No Insertion Loss: With closed-loop Hall technology, the sensor consumes almost no energy from the measured circuit, does not affect the original system performance, and avoids the failure of traditional CTs (current transformers) under low-frequency or DC conditions.
Stable Performance: Uses high-quality Hall elements, with temperature drift coefficient as low as ±0.015%/K. Whether in high-temperature equipment rooms in summer or cold outdoor environments in winter, it delivers consistent measurement output, solving the temperature drift problems that have long concerned you.
Ultra-High Isolation Voltage: Dielectric isolation strength up to 4.0 kV, effectively isolating high-voltage and low-voltage systems, ensuring safety of the measurement end and control loop, allowing worry-free current monitoring in high-voltage environments.
Strong Anti-Interference Design: Built-in three-layer magnetic shielding and EMI filter, with electromagnetic interference attenuation up to >60 dB. Whether in inverters, motor start/stop, or high-noise environments of high-power switching power supplies, it always delivers a clean measurement signal.
Overcurrent Protection and Self-Diagnosis: Equipped with overcurrent protection and self-diagnosis function, real-time feedback of hardware status, effectively reducing system failure risks, enabling early warning and precise troubleshooting.
Wide Temperature Stable Operation: Supports -40℃ to +125℃ wide operating temperature range, suitable for industrial and infrastructure environments worldwide.
High Current Measurement Capability: Rated current 2000 A RMS, peak up to 3000 A, with extended measurement up to 5000 A. Whether for large motor loads or power systems, it handles them with ease.
Rich Interface Options: Provides multiple output interfaces such as RS-485 (supports Modbus protocol), analog (0-10V/4-20mA), which can be seamlessly integrated with mainstream industrial control systems like PLC and DCS without additional conversion modules.
Robust Structure and Compact Dimensions: Flame-retardant plastic housing compliant with UL 94-V0, preventing fire and leakage. Panel mount design, compact structure, easy to integrate into various electrical cabinets.
High Overload Capability: Excellent current overload capacity, maintaining superior measurement performance even when faced with instantaneous large surge currents, ensuring stable system operation.
AEC-Q100 automotive grade certified, using high-reliability components and materials, offering long-term reliability exceeding industry standards. By choosing the LT2005-S/SP19, you will enjoy years of stable measurement, minimizing downtime and maintenance costs caused by equipment failure.
