The LT2005-T/SP6 is a closed-loop Hall effect current sensor from LEM, a Swiss-based global leader in electrical measurement. Designed for demanding applications in rail transportation, industrial traction, renewable energy, and high-precision automation equipment, this sensor meets the stringent requirements for current monitoring of DC, AC, and pulsed currents. It supports a nominal primary current of up to 2000 ARMS, with a maximum measuring range of 3000 A (certain versions can measure up to 3500 A to accommodate extreme operating conditions).
Thanks to the advanced closed-loop Hall effect principle, the sensor delivers extremely high measurement accuracy (0.3%–0.4%) and excellent linearity, combined with very low temperature drift and zero drift. It is ideal for electrical measurement scenarios where results are critical and environments are complex. Whether used in traction converters, three-phase inverters, or battery charge/discharge management systems, the LT2005-T/SP6 provides real-time, accurate, isolated monitoring of primary circuit currents.
With outstanding anti-interference capability and optimized response time, the sensor ensures distortion-free output signals and high measurement stability, providing reliable data support for safe equipment operation and energy optimization.
Closed-Loop Hall Technology, Ultimate Accuracy
Utilizing closed-loop Hall effect technology, this sensor offers higher accuracy and superior linearity compared to conventional open-loop sensors. Accuracy reaches 0.3%–0.4%, delivering exceptional reliability especially in high-frequency or wide dynamic range current measurements. Perfect for demanding industrial control and high-power equipment.
Wide Range and Overload Capability
With a nominal primary current of 2000 A and a maximum measuring range of 3000 A (peak up to 3500 A under certain conditions), it can withstand instantaneous overload currents such as motor starting inrush currents or sudden load changes in traction converters, providing a solid safety margin for the system.
Excellent Wide-Temperature Performance
Supports an industrial wide operating temperature range: standard version -25°C to +70°C, with specially calibrated versions extending to -40°C to +70°C. Whether in extreme heat or cold, the sensor maintains minimal temperature drift and stable zero output, ideal for hot, harsh railway environments as well as cold northern regions.
High Isolation and Large Aperture Design
Features a 60.5 × 20.5 mm rectangular or 56 mm circular aperture, allowing easy passage of primary conductors or busbars for safe, contactless, isolated measurement.
Very Low Insertion Loss
Current output mode (400–500 mA secondary signal) ensures low power consumption and minimal heat generation, improving system energy efficiency.
Flexible Power Supply Compatibility
Supports both unipolar (+24V) and bipolar (±12V to ±24V DC) power supplies, adapting to different auxiliary power architectures in rail vehicles. Plug-and-play with maximum flexibility.
