In high-current measurement, accuracy directly impacts system reliability and safety. Thanks to advanced closed-loop Hall-effect technology, the LTC1000-S/SP25 achieves ±0.4 % accuracy and ±0.1 % linearity – capturing everything from small fluctuations to high peak currents. Whether under normal 500 A operation or 1000 A instantaneous peaks, the transducer delivers stable, reliable data that you can trust.
For variable-frequency drives, motor control, and protection circuits, millisecond delays can be disastrous. With a ≤1 µs response time, the LTC1000-S/SP25 reacts instantly to current anomalies, enabling overcurrent and short-circuit protection to engage without delay. In applications like PV inverters, this millisecond-level fault detection has reduced protection response time to one-third of traditional solutions.
From cold winter workshops to hot, humid outdoor power distribution cabinets, the LTC1000-S/SP25 performs reliably. Its -40 ℃ to +85 ℃ operating range, combined with ±0.1 % linearity and low temperature drift, ensures accurate, stable output across the entire temperature span. Over 20,000 hours of operation in the Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway intelligent power system (128 LTC sensors) proved its resilience at -25 ℃ and under lightning surges, with a failure rate as low as 0.03 per 1,000 hours.
The closed-loop Hall technology enables noncontact measurement of DC, AC and pulsed currents, while providing complete galvanic isolation between primary and secondary circuits (UL 94-V0 insulated housing). This eliminates any risk of high-voltage interference with low-power electronics. In inverters, welders, and motor drives, this isolated architecture is not just a “nicetohave” – it is essential for stopping fault propagation and protecting downstream control circuits.
LTC1000-S/SP25 Flexible Installation, Easy System Integration
The LTC1000-S/SP25 features a modular, compact design that supports horizontal or vertical mounting, with or without a busbar. The primary conductor aperture measures 42×12 mm (or 42 mm diameter), easily accommodating a 1000 A conductor. The secondary connection offers dual options: 4 M5 threaded studs or 4 Faston 6.3×0.8 mm tabs – suitable for quick assembly, vibration resistance, and longterm durability. The foot can be supplied attached or separately, allowing three different mounting arrangements; the busbar also supports two mounting orientations. This greatly enhances integration flexibility and efficiency.
The transducer accepts a wide supply voltage range of ±15 V to ±24 V, making it compatible with most industrial power systems – reducing integration complexity and the need for custom power supplies. With a 100 kHz bandwidth, it covers everything from DC to high-order harmonics, handling smooth DC or high-frequency pulsed currents with ease.
Precision directly translates into economic benefits. One inverter manufacturer using the LTC1000-S/SP26 (similar platform) saw current measurement deviation at 200 A peak drop from 1.8 % to below 0.5 %, motor overload alarms fell significantly, production line downtime was reduced by 37 %, and annual maintenance costs were cut by nearly RMB 120,000. Choosing the LTC1000-S/SP25 means lower failure rates, higher manufacturing efficiency, and better long-term operational control.
Railway traction systems – current monitoring in high-power locomotives
Industrial drives & servos – real-time motor current control
Energy storage systems & BMS – high-accuracy battery charge/discharge current sampling, optimising SOC/SOH estimation and ensuring battery safety
Electric vehicles – current sensing in battery management and charging stations
PV inverters – DC and AC side current measurement and protection
Welding equipment – precise control of high-current pulsed welding
Test power supplies & industrial power – high-accuracy current measurement for test and control systems
In energy storage applications, the LTC series accurately monitors battery charge/discharge current, helping BMS calculate state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH) more precisely. This yields more accurate range prediction and early detection of abnormal conditions (overcharge, overdischarge, etc.), protecting the battery and extending its lifetime.
High accuracy – ±0.4 % accuracy, ±0.1 % linearity
Ultrafast protection – ≤1 µs response time
Wide operating range – stable from -40 ℃ to +85 ℃
Safe isolation – UL 94-V0 certified insulating housing
Flexible integration – modular design with multiple mounting and connection options
