The LTC600-TF/SP19 employs closed-loop Hall effect technology – a compensated current measurement method that generates a reverse compensation current in the secondary circuit to cancel the magnetic field produced by the primary current. This enables highly accurate reproduction and measurement of the primary current. Closed-loop technology offers significant advantages in response speed and linearity: the model achieves a response time of less than 1 µs, linearity of ±0.1%, and accuracy of ±0.7%. The closed-loop architecture also features extremely low temperature drift and high immunity to external interference, ensuring stable and reliable measurement even in complex electromagnetic environments.
The rated current is 500 A, while the maximum measuring range extends up to ±1500 A – a threefold overload capability. This means engineers do not need to replace the transducer with a higherrange model for short-term surges or overcurrent events. A single device covers everything from normal load monitoring to abnormal current diagnostics.
With an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, the transducer maintains stable measurement accuracy whether in harsh winter industrial environments or hightemperature onboard or factory floor conditions. This makes it particularly suitable for vehiclemounted equipment and outdoor industrial applications without temperature control.
The transducer features fully electrical isolation between the primary and secondary circuits, with an isolation test voltage of 13.4 kV RMS. This not only greatly improves safety for downstream measurement equipment and operators, but also effectively eliminates ground loops and common-mode interference that could affect measurement accuracy.
The LTC600 series adopts a modular design concept, supporting horizontal or vertical mounting. The mounting feet can be configured in three different ways, and the busbar also offers two mounting options. The LTC600-TF/SP19 model comes pre-equipped with mounting feet and a dedicated busbar (180×40×8 mm), ready for direct installation. On the secondary side, both 4×M5 screw terminals and 4×Faston connectors are available, providing flexible wiring options to suit different application needs.
With a bandwidth from DC to 100 kHz, the transducer is capable of measuring not only pure DC currents but also AC and various pulsed currents with high fidelity. From powerfrequency power monitoring to high-frequency switching power supply measurements, the LTC600-TF/SP19 accurately captures transient current waveforms, providing engineers with complete current characteristics.
The LTC600 series complies with several international industrial standards, including railway standard EN 50155, European EMC Directive (CE marking), EN 50124-1 insulation level, and NFF 16101/2 fire & smoke safety requirements. It also features a UL94-V0 rated insulating plastic housing. Moreover, the series has passed AEC-Q100 automotive qualification, ensuring stable performance even in the harshest environments.

Renewable Energy & Energy Storage: photovoltaic inverters, storage PCS, battery management systems (BMS), charging piles
Automotive Electronics: brake-by-wire (BBW) systems, anti-lock braking systems (ABS), powertrains, electronic fuel injection (EFI)
Aerospace Power Systems: high-reliability current monitoring, power efficiency optimization, load management
Power Testing & Measurement: RF power supplies, battery test systems, power semiconductor testing
Compared to traditional current measurement solutions (such as shunts or open-loop Hall sensors), the LTC600-TF/SP19 offers unmatched overall advantages:
Higher Safety Level: 13.4 kV electrical isolation withstand voltage – significantly better than most competitors – providing enhanced protection for downstream measurement equipment and operators.
Faster Response Speed: <1 µs response time enables capture of fast-changing transient currents, a capability that is difficult to achieve with many open-loop sensors or shunt solutions.
Wider Application Range: The -40°C to +85°C operating temperature, combined with AEC-Q100 automotive qualification, allows this sensor to be deployed with confidence in extreme environments, unaffected by temperature or ambient conditions.
Lower Long-Term Cost: The non-invasive design allows installation and maintenance without interrupting the circuit, greatly reducing system maintenance time and cost. Additionally, the closed-loop Hall technology has the inherent advantage of no insertion loss, avoiding energy loss and temperature drift errors associated with shunts. The long-term energy efficiency benefits are significant.
