    LV100-1600/SP4 Product Overview

    The LV100-1600/SP4 is a high-performance closed-loop Hall-effect voltage sensor from LEM, a global leader in electrical measurement. As a key member of the LV 100-VOLTAGE series, this sensor is specifically designed for industrial voltage measurement applications. It accurately measures DC, AC, and pulsed voltages while providing galvanic isolation between the primary circuit (high-voltage side) and the secondary circuit (electronic circuit side), ensuring safe system operation.

     

    LV100-1600/SP4 Core Technology – Closed-Loop Hall Effect

    This sensor operates on the closed-loop (compensated) Hall-effect principle. The secondary current generates a compensating magnetic flux that precisely balances the flux produced by the primary voltage, achieving high-accuracy voltage measurement. Compared with open-loop solutions, closed-loop technology offers overwhelming advantages in accuracy, linearity, and temperature stability, making it ideal for wide-bandwidth, fast-response measurements.

    Closed-loop Hall sensors accurately measure DC, AC, and mixed voltages, with key advantages including high bandwidth (DC up to 200 kHz), high accuracy, high linearity, fast response, low insertion loss, and low gain drift.

    LV100-1600/SP4 Key Advantages

    1. High Accuracy – Closed-loop Hall compensation technology delivers overall measurement accuracy of 0.9% and linearity better than 0.1%, making every voltage reading trustworthy.

    2. Top-Level Safety – Full galvanic isolation between primary and secondary circuits, combined with a UL 94-V0 flame-retardant insulated housing, ensures personnel and equipment safety in high-voltage measurement environments.

    3. Excellent Environmental Robustness – Low temperature drift, operating temperature range from 0°C to 70°C, wide frequency response, and strong immunity to external interference make it suitable for diverse industrial environments.

    4. Fast Dynamic Response – A response time of only 50 µs allows the sensor to capture system transients effectively, meeting the demands of high-performance servo drives and variable frequency drive control.

    5. Reliable Design – The internal primary resistor R1 is encapsulated, resulting in no insertion loss. High overload capability and long-term stable operation.
