As photovoltaic, energy storage, rail transportation, and industrial drive systems move toward higher voltage levels, accurate, safe, and stable voltage measurement becomes critical for system reliability. LEM, the world leader in electrical measurement transducers with over 50 years of power electronics experience, has made its LV series closed-loop Hall-effect voltage transducers an industry benchmark.
The LV 100-2000/SP12 is specifically designed for measuring DC, AC, and pulse voltages, with a rated measurement voltage of 2000V. It is widely used in industrial drives, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), renewable energy generation, energy storage systems, and rail traction systems, making it the ideal choice for safe, reliable operation of high-voltage systems.
Galvanic isolation between primary and secondary circuits provides an isolation voltage of 6kV AC/50Hz/1 minute (some standards reach 9kV test capability), meeting international safety standards such as IEC 61800-5-1. Together with a UL 94 V-0 flame-retardant insulating housing, it creates a reliable safety barrier between high-voltage systems and low-voltage control circuits, ensuring system safety even under harsh operating conditions.
The closed-loop Hall-effect compensation technology achieves ±0.3% to ±0.7% accuracy over the full temperature range, with linearity better than ±0.1% and long-term stability. This accuracy level is among the best in industrial-grade voltage transducers, providing trustworthy measurement data for key applications such as inverter DC bus monitoring and photovoltaic inverter MPPT control.
Response time is less than 50μs (some versions even <1μs), with a bandwidth covering DC to 50kHz. It can accurately capture slowly varying DC signals as well as high-frequency ripple and harmonic components, meeting the needs of transient monitoring and active protection.
High stability is maintained over a wide operating temperature range of -25°C to +85°C, with built-in automatic temperature compensation (zero drift ±0.01%/°C). This makes it suitable for complex climate conditions such as outdoor PV plants, cold-region rail vehicles, and high-temperature industrial workshops.
Based on closed-loop Hall-effect principles, the transducer inherently resists external magnetic fields. It includes an internal EMC filter and complies with EN 61000-6-2/4 EMC standards. With dual shielding between primary and secondary circuits, it operates stably in harsh electromagnetic environments (e.g., inverter high-frequency switching noise, high-current busbars) without false triggering or signal distortion.
