    LEM LXS 15-NPS LXS Series Closed Loop Current Transducer

    LEM LXS 15-NPS Product Overview

    The LXS 15-NPS is a closed-loop Hall effect current transducer from LEM's LXS Series, designed for the electronic measurement of DC, AC, and pulsed currents with galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits. This compact PCB-mount transducer features an aperture for primary conductor insertion and delivers performance approaching fluxgate technology at a cost-effective price point.

    Rated for 15 A nominal with a measuring range of ±51 A, it outputs a ratiometric voltage signal of 2.5 ± 0.625 V with 0.45% accuracy. Sensitivity is 41.67 mV/A, with ±0.1% linearity. Response time is 0.4 µs and frequency bandwidth is 300 kHz. Supply voltage range is 4.75 V to 5.25 V DC. Mass is approximately 10 g and operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +105°C. Insulation test voltage is 4.3 kV RMS. The device features very low offset drift and excellent dv/dt immunity.

The very low offset drift ensures stable performance across the wide -40°C to +105°C temperature range, outperforming traditional Hall effect sensors. The ±51 A measuring range provides ample headroom for overload conditions. The single +5 V supply simplifies system integration. The compact PCB-mount design (mass only 10 g) and LTS footprint compatibility enable efficient space utilization in power electronics.
