    TDK INVENSENSE MPU-6050 Product Overview

    The MPU-6050 is a 6-axis MotionTracking™ MEMS device from TDK InvenSense, integrating a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer on a single silicon die with an onboard Digital Motion Processor (DMP) . The DMP offloads complex motion fusion algorithms from the host processor, enabling efficient real-time orientation tracking.

    Rated for a supply voltage of 2.375 V to 3.46 V, it provides 16-bit ADC outputs for all measurement axes . The accelerometer offers user-programmable full-scale ranges of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, and ±16g, while the gyroscope supports ±250°/s, ±500°/s, ±1000°/s, and ±2000°/s . Communication is via I2C (up to 400 kHz Fast Mode) . Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C . Housed in a compact 24-pin QFN package measuring 4x4x0.9 mm with surface mount termination . Mass is approximately 0.144 g .

    The programmable 16-bit ADC and multiple full-scale ranges provide flexibility to balance sensitivity and dynamic range across applications from slow motion detection to high-speed rotation . The 1 KB FIFO buffer enables burst data reading, allowing the host processor to enter low-power modes and reduce overall system consumption . The internal 1024-byte FIFO and user-programmable digital filters for gyroscope, accelerometer, and temperature sensor optimize performance for specific use cases . Minimal cross-axis sensitivity and 10,000 g shock tolerance ensure robust operation .
