Need to add current monitoring to your existing electrical equipment?
Don’t want to shut down, demand absolute safety, and require high-precision measurement data?
The LEM TT 100-SD split-core current transformer was designed to solve exactly these challenges. With an innovative ferrite magnetic core, it combines high accuracy, compact size, and a very competitive price – the ideal choice for sub-metering and power quality analysis.
Traditional current transformers often require the main circuit to be disconnected – a time-consuming and labour-intensive process. The TT 100-SD features a non-invasive split-core design. You simply snap the transformer around the live conductor – no cable removal needed. This means you can safely and easily retrofit monitoring even in critical environments such as hospitals, data centres, or any facility where power cannot be interrupted.
The TT 100-SD uses a new ferrite core with improved magnetic permeability, achieving a perfect balance of high accuracy and costeffectiveness. Its measurement performance is outstanding:
Total error < ±1% – even better at low primary currents
Linearity up to 0.1% – excellent linearity even at very low current levels; no risk of losing weak signals
Very low phase shift < 1.5° ± 1° – ensures accurate synchronisation of voltage and current measurement, providing a solid foundation for power factor correction and active power calculation
The rigid high-density ferrite core has very low sensitivity to ageing and temperature variations, guaranteeing long-term stability
Electrical safety is our top priority. The TT 100-SD offers a dielectric test voltage of 3.5 kV RMS (50Hz / 1min) – full isolation between primary and secondary circuits. The housing is made of UL 94-V0 flame-retardant plastic. Even if the transformer is accidentally opened while energised, internal protection circuits ensure safety without any risk of high voltage surges. The product carries multiple stringent international approvals including CE, IEC 61010-1 and UL 508 (UR mark) – safe, reliable and compliant.
No external auxiliary power supply needed! The TT 100-SD is self-powered, converting the sensed AC primary current directly into a standard 33.33 mA output current (1:3000 turns ratio). It comes with a 1-metre pre-stripped shielded cable that can be connected directly to a PLC, energy meter or data acquisition card – high integration, low cost, and simplified system design.
The device operates over a -25°C to +70°C temperature range. Whether in cold outdoor northern environments or hot indoor server rooms, it runs stably and reliably 24/7.
